1959

July Keiyo Seisakusho Co., Ltd. established at Goi Kaigan, Ichihara-shi, Chiba Prefecture (with capital of 50 million yen)

1976

December The facility department of the Chiba Works of Asahi Glass Inc. integrated.

1984

October The electrical section of the Chiba Works of Asahi Glass Inc. integrated.

1985

April Merged with Asahi Glass Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd., renamed Asahi Glass Engineering Co., Ltd., reorganized, and capital increased to 300 million yen.

1987

April Environmental Division relocated from Yaesu, Chuo-ku, Tokyo to Yushima, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo.

1989

January Environmental Division and other departments relocated to the Tachibana Annex Bldg. at Kameido, Koto-ku, Tokyo, thereby expanding the facilities of the Tokyo Branch.

1999

October Head Office integrated with the Tokyo Branch, and Head Office relocated to World Business Garden, Nakase, Mihama-ku, Chiba-shi, Chiba Prefecture, thereby combining managerial resources and improving comprehensive abilities.

2001

April SELEMION Business Division established.

2003

January Mold Business Division spun off.

2007

July Name changed from Asahi Glass Engineering Co., Ltd. to AGC Engineering Co., Ltd.

2008

January SELEMION Division integrated with System Specialties Business Division to form the Membrane System Division (today’s Membrane Division).

2008

December RCP Business Promotion Center established to manufacture fluororesin products for AGC Asahi Glass.

2013

January RCP Division Promotion Office changed to the Compound Group (today’s Resin Compound Division).

2017

March Part of the business transferred to AGC Asahi Glass, and the business and company reorganized. March 2018

2018

March A new company vision established.

*Asahi Glass Co, Ltd. was renamed AGC Inc. in July 2018. “Asahi Glass Co., Ltd.” and “AGC Asahi Glass,” along with other department names, are the terms used in those days.
