Purging Air

Part of the dry air returns to the outside of the membranes as purging air which exhausts the water vapor. Purging valve is used for regulating the flow rate of purging air.

Purging Air Flow Ratio

Purging air flow ratio is defined as follows:

	Flow Rate of Purging Air
Purging Air Flow Ratito (%) =		× 100
	Flow Rate of Supply Air

Purging air flow ratio of 15 to 20% is usually used. The increase of the flow rate of purging air improves the dehumidifying performance.
